Sclerotherapy safely and effectively eliminates unwanted spider and varicose veins. This non-surgical technique uses a highly concentrated salt-water injection to close off the vein, which is then absorbed by the body. The salt solution is injected through a very fine needle directly into the vein. At this point, patients may experience mild discomfort for a couple of minutes, especially when larger veins are injected. The procedure itself takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
