Accommodating Out of Town Patients at L.A. Vinas

Are you interested in having cosmetic or reconstructive surgery in the West Palm Beach area with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Luis A. Vinas, but concerned about the travel? We do not want that to discourage you from experiencing the best in care and surgical expertise.

You can have your surgery and recover in the beautiful destination of South Florida. We will work closely with you prior to your arrival and follow your recovery closely while you are here, as well as when you go home. Traveling for cosmetic surgery at L.A. Vinas Plastic Surgery & Med Spa is easier than ever thanks to our travel plan.

Consultation

Fly in for a consultation with the doctor. Although we certainly prefer to meet with you in person, we realize it may be difficult due to schedule and cost constraints. If you cannot meet with him in person, the doctor will be happy to conduct a virtual consultation for your ease and convenience. We will ask that you send photos of the specific area of discussion for review. The next step will be to set up a video conference or telephone consultation to discuss the surgical plan and associated fees. Before your surgery is scheduled, we will ask that you have an evaluation by your primary physician if you have any medical problems.

Scheduling

The L.A. Vinas team will work with you to provide a surgery date flexible with your schedule. A pre-operative packet will be mailed with information and informed consents for your review. Any lab work or diagnostic testing will be coordinated prior to your arrival. If all is in order one day prior to surgery, you will schedule a pre-operative appointment to finalize your surgical plan, take pre-operative photos, review the surgical logistics and make any necessary post-operative appointments. Your surgery would take place the next morning.

Surgery

Performed at Good Samaritan Medical Center, located in the heart of West Palm Beach, it is a short drive away from our office. Due to the anesthesia and the extent of your surgery, you will need a driver. If this is an issue, we can certainly assist with home health care options.

Recovery

After your procedure, you have 24-hour access to our nurse. We will be giving you instructions on what to do during this time. It is required someone stays with you for the first 24 hours after your procedure. We have references for home nursing should you require it upon request.

Virtual Follow-Up Appointments

If you will not be in town for the duration of your follow-up appointments, we will arrange standard appointments via phone or video conferencing. You can email post-operative photographs for us to review prior to these remote appointments.
